its really very disheartening....people here send add requests...dont know why, because they never manage to bother to respond to your discussions!is it that they just want the person whom they added to respond to their discussions or is it that they just want to add for the sake of adding!

I'll readily admit that I don't always respond to discussion of people I have friended, but I do read them. I just don't reply to anything I don't have something to say about. I don't get offended or bothered when my friends don't respond to my discussions - I just assume my discussions don't appeal to them.

I'm not sure-- That is the first place I go-- discussions my friends started. I try to answer as many as I can a day-- well at least the ones that interest me. That what I think being a friend is about- I see that alot of my friends answer my posts too. I usually try to add a friend if the person posts topics I like or if they seem to answer the same topics I do. That way I figure we share some interests and they will have something I like to discuss. Be interesting to see what others say they add friends for.

So far I've sent two add requests and accepted several. Every day when I have a chance to get online the first thing I do is look at the discussions my friends have started. However, I don't comment if I'm not interested. To be someone's friend, you don't have to always be interested in the same things they are. In fact, I would prefer my friends not comment on my discussions if they have nothing to say, rather than filling them up with posts that don't say anything at all.
