What do you love the most about your partner?

With valentines day just around the corner i've been thinking about my relationship with my partner. When you've been together with someone for a long time it's very easy to begin to take them for granted and the things that drew us to our partners in the first place can sometimes seem like distant memories. So i've decided to fight back against the old 'aging relationship' demon and celebrate the things I love the most about my partner:
1. He completely lacks selfishness, I think he was hiding when the 'selfishness gene' was given out.
2. He is a great cook, his thai fish curry and chocolate cheescake are to die for.
3. He is one of the kindest people I have ever met and he always looks for the best in people.
4. He still leaves me little notes to let me know he cares.
5. He isn't afraid to show his emotions (which always makes me feel much better when i'm bawling my eyes out at a film).
Okay, so there's my top 5, so what things do you love the most about your partner?

The thing I love most is that he is so patient, understanding, and he brings out the best in me. At least most of the time. We don't do Valentine's day. We celebrate our anniversary, monthly. At times we don't go all out, but we try simple things here and there. I love how your partner leaves you little notes, that is so cute!

Thank you for responding. We don't really make a big deal out of Valentine's day either. We maybe stay in and cook a meal and watch a film but we don't celebrate it in a big way. It's nice that you and your partner celebrate your anniversary monthly, it's a good way of making sure that you spend some quality time together, I hope you continue to do so for a long time.

Awww - what a lovely idea. Well I guess the thing that I love best about my partner is his sense of humour - he always makes me laugh! Also - he is very patient and understanding and he's an excellent listener. And I guess his complete unselfishness too - and the fact that he left his homeland (he is from Argentina) and his family to be with me in the UK and it was not so easy for him at first because of the Falklands War between Britain and Argentina - but he never gave up on me or us. He is always strong and he is always there for me.

There is too much to say so I am going to be brief and limit myself to 5-6 lines and then see how it comes out. Her most attractive thing is her face and so her smile is a knock out, never seen a smile that can make me smile so easily. Secondly I think its good that she tries to be what I want her to be, ie do things that I like... Finally as I said I would limit it I love the fact she can still like me let alone love me when I really am not all she (and according to her friends they) think of me.

My husband is so good to me that i always would add 2 more to his qualities when someone wants to know about him. I am not going to do that here though. So here goes my list. 1) The first thing that comes to my mind when i think of him anytime is ever smiling face. No matter how difficult a thing he has to handle he always keeps his cool and always reacts to people with a smile on his face. 2) He never lets out a word that will hurt the other person in any way. He talks less, but when he talks he always watches his words. 3) Mine too is a good cook. I never knew how to cook before i was married. I learnt from him. In exchange for his cooking classes i taught him how to talk continuously, he made little progress in that, though. 4) And the best thing i also love in him is that he never wakes me up. Never. When i am asleep, not once till now, for any reason. He never discourages me when i want to take up something. Besides he also gives me a helping hand.
I wouldnt have asked for more. For me, he is the best.

To be honest,I really can't pick some of his virtues...I LOVE HIM JUST THE WAY HE IS!And I love him not just because what he is,but what I am when I am with him...
