Who has over protective inlaw??

My sons grandparent are a pain. When my first son was 2 months i was playing with him and he kick and i scratched him with my nails, it made me cry. They found out and threated to call CPS. I could not belive it. Does anyone have inlaws like this what have they done and what did you do to get them to back off??
