Every Valentine's Day I wonder what chocolate has to do with this holiday. Does anyone know how this tradition started?

Among early valentine gifts were candies, usually chocolates, in heart-shaped boxes. Companies like Godiva Chocolatiers have made high quality chocolate in artistic designs and elegant wrappings a traditional Valentine's gift.
That's about all I could find

valentines day are the day for lovers or for someone who is in love. a day for giving and exchanging chocolates to the person that you love. but actually valentines day is made by chocolate makers long long time before i forgot where it started. but its true its for the sake of their business to be sold out.thier just making it sound great my teacher said and valentines day is everday for lovers he added. :-)
