How much have you earned on Gather? Are you getting paid what you are worth?

I just joined Gather last May and so far I have just been earning points towards gift cards, etc. I was up to 8000+ points and cashed them in for Home Depot gift cards (5-$25 cards). I think that is fair and equitable for the quality of my writing. How much have you earned on Gather? (if that isn't too nosey).

Gather.com is a fantastic online publishing website that has a mass bandwidth allowing several thousand members write and post articles, images, artwork, poetry, digital photography and even recipes to a world of knowledge-thirsty individuals. It pays, it plays well with other sites as this one, helium and associated Content and it features some of the finest writing accomplishments of the 21st century. My mentor started me there after I launched into writing novicely for Associated Content. My earlier works are not as good as the newer stuff i have been cranking out all the time since practice in writing makes for the perfect writer.
I truly love the flexibility of working, writing my passionate voice and imaginative mind, in my jammies with tea, cocoa or coffee at my pace under my terms earning as much or as little as I choose.
Come see my work.
Good luck to you and great meeting you here

Right now, I'm just a few points shy of my first Borders $10 gift card. I've been on the site for about 10 days.

I can't tell you how much I have earned. Because I honstly don't remember. I am up to 1700 points right now. I am trying for about 2400 points. I don't like to have no points at all when I go for a gift card. I have gotten several gift cards already. Some of the gift cards you can use together. Others you can't..like at delightful deliveries.com I got two from them to find out I can't us ethem together. It was a bummer. So I put them up on my local freecycle and gave them away.

Hey, Webduck! Good to see you on here too.
I have earned 21,000 points, but being a Canadian I can't cash them in for anything. I'm still waiting to get my American Tax ID number, and then I will be able to cash out. I am going to bypass giftcards, and just go for the cash.

I joined in August and just got my first Borders card this past week. I already spend 8 Barnes and Noble cards.
I was spending more time there over summer and holiday break since kids were home. Now I own over 20+ groups and spend most time just approving or rejecting articles, although owning groups is a good way to earn points.

I have only earned one gift card so far but I have won a couple of contests on Gather, so that has made it worth my while. I have been writing and commenting more in the past month, and it has made a difference, but it's hard to keep up the pace. Anyway, I like Gather very much, and think that some of the most interesting discussions and people are on that site.

I know I've earned somewhere (in total) between 2,000 & 3,000 - I haven't been as active as I could of been. It's also hard to say, because I recently purchased a gift card to borders (still waiting on it) with some points. Then had an active spurt through the site.

Hello WebDuck,
I just wanted to say hello to all my Gather friends on MyLot. This is only my 3rd or 4th post here so I am in the blind trying to learn my way around here. I think I like it here ; )
PS Especially since Gather has been down in my area since yesterday.
See Ya Around the Web.

I just joined on here but have been on Gather since August. So far, just collecting points but having a good time there. I have a few of my meager words published as well as some select photos. It's quite an online community.

I have been in Gather for about 7 months and I have earned gift certificates totalling around $70. I post mainly recipes on there, since I run four recipe groups. Lately I have been too busy to get on there, but I feel it is a pretty good website to earn some things you want.

Hi! I have been a Gather member since November of 2005 (before it was official, but we still earned points). I have been a cash earner there since they launched point spending and have earned as little as $65 a month to as much as $200 a month. I think the site is great and will continue to post there. I think becoming a cash earner is much more difficult now than when I did - there were less people and it was easier to get a lot of comments. If I were to join today, I may not be any different than you, earnings wise. But I got in on the ground floor and have done a lot for Gather in its planning stages. Now I am reaping the benefits.

I usually earn about $50 a month in gift cards or cash. I don't have to put too much time into it either.
