Who have never listened about abba?Who never heard chiquitita song or Dancing queen? Impossible...Abba is Abba!

Did you know that Abba is listed as the number one pop group in the world? And as for record sales... it is number 3 in the world behind Elvis Presley and The Beatles. If Abba were still singing today... five of their old songs would be in the top 20. U2 has sung some of Abba's songs and they reckon that Abba was better than them. A year or so ago, Madonna, the queen of pop, released an Abba song.

definitely my friend, I do share the same emtions for those ABBA masterpieces..... P.S. this is my first post in myLot,and I searched myLot for a topic on which I am eligible for a doctorate degree-ABBA!!! I am from India, and grew up in the nineties.I am famous among my friends for being an ABBA maniac.They have songs for every emotion ,atleast for every emotion I ever experienced...... It really hurts when people dubb ABBA as only a Disco phenomenon........Waterloo,MammaMia,Dancing Queen,S.O.S.,HastaManana,Fernando were already worldwide hits before the disco phenomenon exploded.Australia was the second home for those fabulous Swedes......for in the 70's every 1 out of every 3 Australian family owned atleast one ABBA album. I do plan to start some very debatable,and interesting discussions about ABBA soon

Rightly so,Abba is Abba!I would like to share some beautiful moments through this discussion that whenever i listen to Dancing Queen, its melodious tunes truely ring bells of joy inside.Although my daughters are too fond of Abba, but somehow that has also induced my senses also.

Abba?? To me this is one group that tore my heart apart when they split.. What a class act too... Just love listening to any of thier songs.. Dancing Queen though was a great favourite.. Dont you just find with Abbas songs that you just end up singing along with them Lynn-Marie
