it depends on you [or to whoever who would like to answer that..] if you are selfish: your happiness first before others [its like the rule of conservation of life: saving yourself] if you are selfless: others first, before your own happiness [do you think this still applies? hey, lets be real.. your friend might choose her boyfriend over you because she feels happier when they are together than when she is with you...] so i suggest that before we answer it, let us first know ourself.. am i selfless, or selfish..?

You are not meant to go on service to others. There is no end to it, once you get involved. Once you reach the stage of happiness, then you can contribute your time and money to the extent possible for the happiness of others. Itis only nice to talk that you live for the sake of others. In practicality, it is not possible.
