Has the Wii made you MORE likely to play games with your kids?

The wii is great fun and I have found that it is fun for adults (like me) to play with the kids. Alot of the other games out there I do not have a desire to play - and thus do not play with the kids. The wii however, is such fun that I find myself happy to stand, jump, swing my arms to play the games. Besides just sitting and playing at least we are all getting some exercise in the process! :o) Who else has found that they are spending more play-time with the kids with the new wii???

Yes Wii is a great fun for all family members specially to young ones, it also help you to loose weight, why i say so? because you body parts move when palying the game. specially in boxing and bowling, as well as in tennis. Unlike in other game console you are only playing while you are sitting, no bdy movements that are made. it only makes your fingers to be painful after you finished playing. me, my aunt and my cousins and even my 4yrs. old and 2yrs old daughter is having fun of playing Wii.

Ummmm my kid is 18 months and I was trying to teach her how to play baseball. I am addicted to it! I love it! i have been trying to find someone who is into it too.... I read a blog one day that a guy actually played wii for an hour a day and has lost 9 pounds. I think that is great. It has helped my marriage out too. Before he would just play his games now he wants to play games with me too.!

That's great!! The games are alot of fun -- I like that you get the sports disc with the unit -- I seem to play that disc more than the ones you buy.

We don't have a Wii (yet) but we have PS2, PS1, Game Cube, X-Box etc and it does bring us together. They play the shooter games but they always help me with the kid games like Spyro and Crash Bandicoot. That's great that it's brought you together as a family, usually the exact opposite happens.

I wouldn't mind trying it out just for fun. I have heard that it's really hands on. Espensive.. but more hands on than the normal video game.
