activities appropriate for elders who have low vision and alzheimers

These people (a group of 5-6) have macular degeneration and alzheimer's type dementia that is past the early stages. Ideas for activities, other than singing and reminiscing would be helpful.

Perhaps swimming could be a good activity, providing there is no complications due to insurance and you have enough people to look after the group.

Ah, I didn't notice past the early stages. Perhaps swimming wouldn't be such a good idea.
