How do you measure success?

I'm sick of many news that often measure success based on how much $$$ you make, how beauty or handsome you are, how powerful you are over others, etc. It seems that success only depends on such things. Although I won't deny those criteria, some people have other definition of success. How will you measure your success? I would like to know others' opinions.

well success is immesurable in a sense that there is no exact word as to what level one is said to be successful. i just think if you are happy and contented with what you are doing and doesn't hurt anyone and still a help to anyone in need, then one is said to be successful because he has the capacity to lend a hand to anyone who needs them.

Thank you. It is a wonderful response. Everyone has a definition of success. I agree with you. I have seen many people who are successful but in the expenses of others (for ex. Saddam Hussein, Hitler, etc.). So, I don't think it is successful, right?

success is measured by fullfuilling your dreams and achivements. some money +fame+ peace mind and good contacts

The measure of your success depends upon the way that you view yourself. You are the best judge in this world of your success. Just try to be a good person and to please God.

Hi, its normal for you to be sick of them measuing $$$ as success tool. Most(in 20-30's) like to show off, thats a natural thing, and thats completely normal. But a true successfull man wont go around telling how much they make, how cool or handsome are they, a real successfull man, have everything they want to satisfy and achievement has been met. it is the satisfication that made him successfull. it represents not only wealth or fame but health,love and family.
So what you are seeing is completely what this world is made off today, materialistic.
As for me, success to me is now being able to meet my objectives, to complete my studies with flying colours and also be able to be an entrepreneur with my own business, it is not the money, it is the satisfication. although, money is always a factor in life.
