Love songs or Rock Music?

when i begin to play guitar, i used to play love songs..it helps me to improve..,mostly those songs which has more placking than strumming..as time goes on, i have lot of improvements because of my determination to learn..=)..,now, i love playing alternative rocks..much more in punk rocks..=)

I have a hearing problem in that base music over powers the music and words.I enjoy hearing and understanding the words,so I would prefer Love Songs.
