should people in wheelchairs pay veihcle tax; also why do they wear shoes

just because they are in a wheel chair dont mean they dont need shoes lol, some can still walk a short way so they need shoes, just becuase u see someone in a wheel chair doesnt mean they cant walk at all. And the tax question dont know much about that but every one should have to pay a tax wheelchair or not i think

if they can walk a short way; why not get a smaller wheelchair;; or better still push them in a pram

whats a pram? and i dont know if they have smaller chairs, it doesnt bother me what kind of chair they are in. do u have anything again people in wheel chairs?

It will be a cold day in hell before we pay vehicle tax on my mothers wheel chair. Its bad enough that insurance wouldnt pay on the chair. As for wearing shoes, why shouldnt they. There feet get cold like everyone elses, and also they would feel naked without there shoes, or at least my mother does. She may be dying of terminal lung cancer, but that shouldnt make her feel any less than a human

thank you, but people in wheel chairs are there for a reason, either by accident or illness. Its bad enough they have to be in one, must less IF they have to pay taxes!!! Dont you agree???

The person that posted this never said that people in wheel chairs don't pay tax!!! they were asking if they should!!!
It wouldn't be fair if just because you need a wheel chair you didn't pay car taxes.....

you pay govenment tax but how many times has the govenment rang you to wish you happy birthday or to ask you how you doin?

what a question. People in wheelchairs do drive sometimes and not all in wheelchairs are there 100%. Handicap people where shoes the same as everyone. 1) it keeps there feet warm, 2)they may not totally be disabled in there feet and can walk some, and 3) its the law!

they need to make wheelchairs with gas motors. electric are to slow... people need to get around town faster
