As of right now, if you like charcoal, yeah - I guess I'd be a good head chef.
Back in my college days, I worked in simultaneously in a Chinese restautant during the lunch time, & in a Chinese take-out on Friday, Saturday & Sunday evenings during the dinner time. In the take-out, I learned how to fry up the appetizers, & even did some cooking only when it was busy.

That's a good start to moving up the ladder. Back when I started in the business, we were set one thing to do until we got it done well, and then moved on to the next thing. Eventually we became good chefs, if not the few that didn't learn and pass their exams fell by the wayside.
