Who here is a chef,?

I'd like to know who's a fully qualified chef or head chef. Myself,? I'm a head chef by training, I've been in the business 33 years now.

I wouldn't dare to say I was a head chef but I am cheif cooker and bottle wsher of this domain LOL I can cook pretty good when I have to but I like to take time off any more so I can take a break and try something new.

I always think good cooking is lomited by our imagination, trying foods done a little differently can be fun I think. Mostly it works, occassionally it doesn't, but it can be fun trying it.

As of right now, if you like charcoal, yeah - I guess I'd be a good head chef. Back in my college days, I worked in simultaneously in a Chinese restautant during the lunch time, & in a Chinese take-out on Friday, Saturday & Sunday evenings during the dinner time. In the take-out, I learned how to fry up the appetizers, & even did some cooking only when it was busy.

That's a good start to moving up the ladder. Back when I started in the business, we were set one thing to do until we got it done well, and then moved on to the next thing. Eventually we became good chefs, if not the few that didn't learn and pass their exams fell by the wayside.
