Do you think it is right to give pocket money to children or does it leads to chances of their developing bad habits with that money???

I dont think they will develop bad habits....but do not give them money jus like that..u can give some money to ur child and monitor how its being spent...ask ur child to have a small book and write down how he/she has spent the money and how much he/she has saved....maybe this will educate him/her how to maintain an account....when he/she starts earning later

Before you start giving them pocket money, you have to teach them the value of money. Teach them how to save and be responsible. I have a toddler and she got her own piggy bank. She knows not to ask for anything if we are in the store because not all times we got money. When she found a cent inside the house, with her young age, she asked if she can put it on her piggy so it will get heavy for the rainy day. When you think they are responsible enough, then there is no harm in giving them pocket money.

My son has a few chores that he is to do around the house. Feed the cat and dog and vacuum the floors. If he has done his chores I give him is money when we go to the store. It is not much, but I find that he is learning to stretch a dollar. He is checking prices and comparing items before he makes a purchase. I think it has taught him a lot.

What age are you talking about? Very important to remember kids with money become targets.

I dont think giving pocket money to children leads to bad habits. What you can do is teach your children as well on how to properly use their money. Best of all teach them how to save. That way even if you do give them money, they'd learn how to spend it wisely.
