I like to note that there are still a lot of religious people. Prayers really do wonders. A dying man's life may be extended by the Almighty if he asks for it from the Lord with all undying and moving faith. Our future is in our hands, yes, but we'd rather that God guides us through the right path. We achieve that through prayers.
