I don't mind camping although I don't like "roughing" it. We camp in a camper, so even on hot nights we have air conditioning and its a nice peaceful cool place for the kids to sleep. I love the fact that I can just go into the camper and seemingly get away from the bugs and critters. I don't think that I will be doing any camping this year though, as I'm due to deliver around the end of june and our youngest just turned a year old at the end of January. So I think camping for me is out for the season.

Tent camping! Is camper camping really camping? Everything is in the raw, primitive that way. Carry water, to cook and wash dishes. Yeah, it's about time to get the stuff ready. The only bad thing about it, yes, is when the racoons try to get in (but maybe if we wouldn't feed them marshmallows for a midnight snack, they'd stay away!) Well, there's one more bad thing, RAIN! Otherwise, it's a perfect "Little Tent on the Prarie"!

I love taking my tent with me and driving off in the sunset! I went off for four weeks last year, driving a thousand miles to Scotland on my own, I was able to go where I wanted and do what I wanted, I love sleeping beneath the stars and roughing it! Yes I hate the bugs and the cold mornings but that's part and parcel of camping.

My body and I have had a lot of dissagreements lately on how far away the ground is and how difficult it is to pull myself away from it in the morning. My brain talked it over with my body and came to the conclusion that the camper makes it an all-around better trip for me.Allows me to enjoy the fishing, camping and scenery.
Rememeber; summer is only 6 months away!!

I definitely prefer the tent. It's just not camping if your not in a tent. Now, I will agree that it is a lot more convienent, but that's not what camping is all about! I do not like it when the raccoons try to get in the tent with you though! Pesky little critters! It's still tent camping for me!

Tent or tarp camping is the "best" if you like that type, which I do. If I had small kids around, I would want the camper( pop-up preferred over solid) for added safety. I have a camper trailer in my back yard that I basically live in in the summer.

If I go somewhere just for the weekend, I'd like the tent. If for longer maybe a summer thing, camper would be the way to go. No Lugging stuff!

Tent camping here. It's easier in my opinion to make it work. I like it because you're experiencing nature more. In a camper, you don't have the chance to listen to and enjoy nature. I only hate it because you have to deal with bugs more, lol.

I really love camping and the only real way is by tent! My husband wants a camper (not that we can afford what he wants)but I think even if we get one we'll still use our tents, at least until we can't get up off the ground. We had planned a cold weather trip a couple of weeks ago but we canceled it because my mom was in the hospital. Maybe we'll try again in late March or early April, hot weather camping just isn't as fun in the Georgia humidity. It's just not camping without a campfire either!

I am afraid of bugs and such. I hate being hot. My idea of camping is the Holiday Inn...lol

On my camper the beds are under tenting. So, I can enjoy the best of both worlds. I admit I was hesitant at first. My consideration was that there was no way for me to get my spouse on a wilderness trek. That being said, I truly love backcountry minimalist trekking. Even as Rvers we adhere to No Trace. I wish more people would. I just love camping, no matter how it is done.

Tent/tarp camping is the only way we camp. We thought about getting a pop-up camper cause of my back not liking the ground but I can't just see it as actual camping. I bought an air matress instead and now my back is happy camping.

I used to tent camp when I was younger but now we have a camper. We always sit outside and usually have a campfire to keep the bugs away. Also we usually go camping by a lake and we can watch the boats or we go out in our boat for a ride.
