serial killers

I've researched all the serial killers, and I've become almost obsessed with them. I'm not crazy or sick, I am more fascinated, at the rate of their crimes. I've always wanted to go to school to become a Forensic psychologists, to understand the Mentally ill. It's been my dream. I'm just curious if anyone else, has the same feelings as me.

I did go to school for it. Criminal profiling, specifically. Was taught by Bob Keppel and Joe Weiss themselves. It's a whole lot different doing it than reading about it. All your mental preparations can't really prepare you for your first really bad case. And they start you off early on the bad stuff - I think it was three weeks in when they showed us our first victim autopsy, to start weeding out the ones who couldn't handle it. I'm not working in the field - had a real bad accident, I'm on disability now, and I don't regret it that much these days. I'm thankful for my education and getting to practice under the tutelage of one of the FBIs finest, but I'm happier writing about it than the more hands on jobs.

Then I wish you the best of luck with it. It's hard, stressful, depressing work, but I have nothing but the utmost respect for those who do the job. The sacrifices they make are beyond words.

Yeah, I wanted to get my degree in criminal justice, and persue my career, in Forensic Pyschology. Eventually I'm gonna follow through with my goals once I get my head on straight. I know its gonna be tough, but I can honestly say that I have the willpower. If it's something I really want, then I'm gonna do whatever it takes.

I have done alot of reading/studying the area of serial killers and their profiles.There are some good sites out there that will help you in your search for knowledge.

Yeah, I found a lot of amazing sites, that have helped me out. I've always watched most of the movies about serial killers. Most of them don't go into graphic details, which saddens me, because I intented on watching the movies for the full understand of the criminal acts that these serial killers did. Oh well. Thanx for the response.
