I have heard that people can get their credit repaired by a specialist and basically have a clean slate with their credit? Is this true? Has anyone ever been to a credit repair specialist? i was thinking about doing this but was unsure. i also heard that you can repair your credit yourself. What do you think?

You don't need to pay anybody big money to repair your credit. You can do it yourself. http://www.CreditRepaired4Life.com has what you need. It has downloadable DIY information to repair your credit. Hope this helps. Joe

You can do everything a credit repair company charges you for all on your own. It's pretty fishy if they claim they can promise you a clean slate...it's illegal. There are ways to get bad entries off your report that ARE legal though and don't go paying someone, just DIY!
I recommend browsing http://www.creditboards.com...tons of great people on those forums repairing credit.
I also blog about my credit repair and making money online at http://www.somewhereovertehdebt.com.
Good Luck and remember there's no fast track to good credit! Just take your time, pay down debt, learn how you can get the law to work for you and work on getting those baddies deleted ;)
