Has any one worked in a call center or planning to join?

Due to the mushrooming growth of call center ppl especially youth are very much inclined to join in call center. And i hv also been a victim tof that mania. But I m repenting the decision now. My experience till date with call center is very bad. The pay is initially high but the increment level is not at all satisfactory. Health problem and the treatment u receive from ppl in society. I m in a great dillema now.
Freinds plz discuss abt ur experience so dfar with call center and if any body planning to join then whay you are joining?

i am planning to apply at a call center, and i think it's true that you'll easily get sick from it. it's not because of the environment, but it's because of the pressure, and your body can't have enough rest. but still, i'm going to apply for a position. i'm planning to apply because i want to improve my oral english skill, not only for the money itself. i'll resign after 2 months.

Yes if u would like to improve ur OIral skill thn it is the best thng to join there and leave it after the training. So u can hv sm money and also English skill is alos improved.

I would sugegst you to complete ur studies and go for a better job rather thn call center.

wel i am planning to join call center but i have to learn its course after my exams so i will learn it first then apply in different call centers.

no man call center is not at all good for tech people.. n im not intersted in working ther...

I'm in a call center now.
I'm not an agent though.
I work as a database marketing analyst. Stuffs same as IT people do. I use SQL the whole day for all the reports i submit.
as expected my schedule is off hours.
i work as midshift before 4am to 1pm. and just recently changed shift to 10pm to 7am.
i'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience working in one. and that you had bad experience also within the society.
i do not however experience the same. i do love my job.
the health problems... well yeah.. but i make sure i use the HMO our company provides us.
got lots of sleep on weekends.
the catch... i earn really really big.. plus the 20% night differential and the allowance daily. :D

Thts really good of you. And as long as u r enjoying ur job u shld nt feel bad. As of me I m no more enjoying my job and all my frnds are placed in good companies in good position so m bit frustrated.
