Being a philanthropist is a noble desire, of course, your dreams can be fulfilled. You can start by giving something to credible institutions that works in Africa, I'm thinking of World Vision International, they have a good reputation troughout the world. If you are thinking of actually going there yourself and do volunteer work, you are only 29 yrs old, still have plenty of opportunities.

Just do as much volunteer work as you can, and give back what you can when you can. Does not always have to be money, it can helping with cleaning up, or building a home, or doing extra work for free for a business that is struggling, but needs the help.
There are so many ways to be a good Philanderer.. and Philanthropy is just about Giving back to the community. So To be a good one, all you have to do is do your best to give back when you can and when you can.
Yes, you can still achieve your dream. I have a similar dream myself. Take care, and I hope you meet your goal :) - DNatureofDTrain
