people died ..well especially a whole load of women!!! for us to have the right to vote..
now i believe that before we get pre concieved ideas about left, right and centre...and everything else in between, that we should at least read each party's manifesto before we make a decision for the ballot box..
your comments would be appreciated..

i am so glad i am not the only one..i think it is very important to be more politically savvy nowadays without being small minded and bigoted though..we have to draw thge line between conviction and tolerance..

I read up on the person's platform, what he stands for, what he wants to do. Find out their track record on environmental issues, what is important to me. I do not vote blind. I need to know their experience, how they voted on important issues in the house, etc.....I try to do my homework.

I like to read up on the candidates platform as well. I also like to look at their record. If they are members of congress than I want to know what they vote yes on and no on. I think you should make a well informed decision not one based on race or gender.

I do. I read everything I can on a candidate before I vote so that I will be as informed as I can.
