brain drain: boon or bane?

The brain dain phenomenon began more than a decade ago. How has it affected our present economy? Many people say that brain drain isn't good as skilled workers honed in our country use their expertise abroad. So, our country loses the opportunity to develop without skilled people that would have been drivers of development. What is your stand regarding this issue? Would you choose to work in your country or explore the possibilities abroad?

This is like the oldest debate topic ever. =) But I admit it's still relevant. I think the migration of our skilled workers will help our economy because they bring in dollars. But I think it will be much better if these skilled workers will return to their own countries to bring back what they learned from abroad.
