Who among us here wants to keep our maiden names after we get married? Do u want to choose to keep it or chnage it into your husband's surname? What reasons do you have why you want to keep your maiden name or if why you want to change it?

keeping my family name even if i get married doesn't mean that i on't love or like my husband's family name..i like to keep my family name in honor of my father especially that i only have one brother who could carry our family name..i've known of some people who 're still using their maiden name even if they're already married and its no big deal to their husband..perhaps their husband are open-minded as well..if in case my husband won't allow it then i'll use his..

You're also in the Philippines? I guess its ok to keep our maiden names but some people want to either keep it or change it because maybe one family name doesnt sound that good :P lol or in honor of family tradition. But when you kept your maiden name because you only have one brother, wouldnt that be the same still because you cant really help to carry on your own family name to your kids right?

I did not keep my maiden name after I got married. The reason was that we already had children who we had given his surname to, and we wanted to all have the same surname to symbolize our union as a FAMILY.

So your kids and your husband shares the same family name except you? Was it a choice you made? Did your husband comment about it? I would like to change my maiden name to my husband's name. Also hypenated can be done right? We both have nice sounding family names too so... :)
