sachin will retire after wolrcup 2011. he need full rest and full practice now. i am sure that he will be back in his old form. look Brain Lara. he is fail from 1994 to 2002. all players have bad years. as same Mark Waugh, Steve Waugh also fail for 4-5 years, Inzamam ul haq also fail for 2 years. all the players have bad years. so dont worry about him. he will be back. but he need public support. dont forget he is man who won lots of match for india.

Yes, that will be a good time for him to retire. But personally I think he can play for another 5 years.

sachin is a warrior and he will bounce back form is temporary class is permanent and sachin is a classy player he will rise from the dust and answer all his critics with his blade just wait my friend and as far as him retiring the answer is clear as he has accepted the vice-captaincy and is raedy to lead the team

We are all novices who know only to see and comment.....is there anybody here who as done as much as he has done for the game???...16 years, and still going strong....this is not a desk job, so those of you who are in such professions with nothing better to say about a great man, you may as well keep quite....He is a leader and a mentor in the present team. He still has plenty of cricket left in him be it in batting, bowling, or mentoring his teammates. As he rightly said yesterday during the presentation ceremony "I know my cricket, I need nobody to tell me what I must or must not do"....strong words from a man who is usually very diplomatic in his speeches. One day this treasured person will retire and there will be a team without Sachin, till then respect him....retirement time for a batsmen whom most of our countrymen love and respect will be his call and his decision only....nobody has the moral right to question his presence in the team and no one can ask him to quit....he will play till he feels he is able.

well after watching sachin's sensational innings today there will be many fans who will disagree with ur question....but if u take a close look at his todays innings it was very well executed...but it lacked that excitement which we cud see in our old sachin tendulkar...i do feel sachin should retire after the world cup...

Nope Sachin shouldn't retire after the world cup. If he plays in it then he has to play even more. If he wants to retire so badly then he should before the world cup.

Sorry,as a Bangladeshi if i say that Sachin Tendulkar should retire after World cup 07,then i will be boycotted by my friends & relatives at home. Our people are just crazy about Sachin,no matter how he is doing now.Whatever he has already done, that puts him on top of the Himalaya-but a few more Centuries will put him out of reach of all except the God. I strongly feel that, the Indian authority should allow him to play as long as he wants.Let him break his own record. If he is given forced retirement(as happened with Ganguly),many will stop watching the play like me.
