now that im a mom,all i think about is where to get money to pay for bills and pay for my daughters needs.if we could just turn back time.

... And probably when you were a child, you wanted to be grown up!
I suppose we could all wish for something different, but isn't it rather futile to dwell on such things? We can be thankful for our past. We can learn lessons from our past, but we can never go back there. We should concentrate on our future.
As for me, I cannot remember even one happy event in my childhood. I was abused by my eldest sister, my father and two step fathers. Had I thought about it, my theme song would have been "No one loves me: no one cares".
So, no, I don't want to go back to my childhood, but on the other hand, I don't regret any of it either. I am thankful for every single thing that happened to me. I wouldn't be the person I am today if it hadn't been the way it was.
Life is complicated? Problems to solve? Well, isn't that part of life? Don't you learn and grow from each of the complications and problems? Would we really WANT a simple life? I wouldn't. I'd rather face challenges and know victory!
Good discussion. Thanks.

You're so right! Whenever I see kids playing and laughing, I would always say to myself that I wish I was a kid again. Kids are always happy and carefree, and seem to see the world in a different light. Everyday is a discovery for them. They couldn't care less about the world and what it has gone to. I totally envy them.

I think that at times we all wish that we were 10 years of age again. Unfortunately we can not go back in time because then we would miss being adults. The key to happiness is to finding time to do kid like things to help reduce your stress level. I enjoy going to a park and swinging to help unwind, bumper boats and soaking my daughter helps to! I have my own crayons & coloring book at 40. Do kid things to help stay young and stress-free.

The childhood is always memorable, however it was.You cannot go back to childhood, otherwise many would have liked to be in that stage of childhood.
But it is rule of the Nature. Everyone has to say good bye to childhood, but the priviledge of cherishing the childhood days is given.

No, there comes a time when we MUST grow up and take on responsibilities - and create memories for the next generation.

Childhood is the happiest time of life. When i was a little girl,i often played in the park till it is dark with my buddy...lol.Those were such happy times and will never come again. From none can call again in the passed time. We should, therefore, cherish whatever we have.

Of cause, I miss my childhood.
As a child, I can play all day and don't worry anything because my parent will care me, I don't know the stress of life, don;t need to make money to afford family.
It is good and memorable, but time passed, we are grow, as adult, we must responsible for ourselves, I will need to make money to afford myself.
If it is possible, I want go back my childhood.

i miss my chilhood days.. for some things i miss... for some i think it has changed for good. I was very free at that time. But i used to be very tensed due to exam and all. Now as i'm working and also i have started managing pressure, i don't suffer from so much tension.I used to miss my papa so much in childhood as he was constantly travelling for his job. Now he is at home. But yaa.. those were golden days.

Yeah, childhood is the time when a boy feel free to play, eat, dance, music etc. and there is no tension of future. Even in our childhood, we dont think about tommorrow and nowdays, doing planning for whole life, for the older days because how much we can earn (position, respect, money), will be useful in future.

everybody surely wish to go back to the time when they were totally young... but then life gets complicated when we get older... i also wish to go back to the times when i was young... like almost all of us wish to be peter pan sometimes... but that will never gonna happen.

The feeling is mutual. Sometimes I'm returning home from a tough lecture and I see primary pupils playing in the sand. I just wish i could go back, but when I recall that life will still take its course, and that i can't be small forever, i just feel content with where i am and forge ahead with life.

My father and my family lived in a suburd area when I was a child. There were trees, grassland, and hills within my vicinity. At that moment, I had lots of fun roaming between the woods and explore the nature. My brother, siter and I together caught worms, grasshoppers, frogs and kept them in our jars. Now these are all gone. My city has becoma a highly modernized community. The place in which I spent my childhood has become a concrete forest of buildings. I miss my childhood very much.

somehow i miss my childhood days...but those were really buried deep in the past...we really need to grow and learn each day...lifes' reality and its complexities force us to really grow up and mature...well it's the only way we can keep up...moving on and being positive will keep the child in us all anyway...being HAPPY always is a child-like virtue...dont take life so so so seriously you'll miss the fun...be like a child at heart!enjoy life and all its wonders...but be responsible and mature always...its the only way we can be truly happy and live a meaningful life =)
