I dont get responses to my discussions. Is there some way that I can remove my discussions which do not produce much response. Maybe I am not smart enough to start discussions which interest people. Or is it that I start discussions when most people are offline and those who are online would like to discuss much more titlating things or things which allows them to put down a few sentences quickly. Anyway now I prefer to post responses rather than start discussions.

Most people who joined mylot the first time have asked the same question. My first postings when I joined barely a month ago got very little response some are even zero response. So I told myself maybe I will just concentrate on responding to discussions rather than posting topics. But ideas still keep coming so I just posted them the best way I could and lo and behold, one passed the 100 mark of responses, others 50 etc. I don't think it's a matter of being smart or not. Some postings that do get responses are not what you can probably call smart ones. I guess it's just a matter of timing. Good discussions that were posted not on a very good timing. Anyway, some of my zero response discussions surfaced again after a few days and this time, they are marked with some responses. I am afraid you can not erase posted discussions. Just keep up posting good discussions. Don't lose heart, mylot people need it. Good luck to you.

Thank you Manong for your response. I think I will continue to post discussions. I only wish there could be some system to weed out repetitive and meaningless discussions. That is where I believe quality responders like you have to play a role. I think mylot should have a system where quality responders (ranked above 7) should comment on new discussions (atleast 10 per month) and only when a new discussion recieves 5 quality responses it should come into general arena. It should be 'Quality star retention criteria' for star responders.

i think that you should make friends of the same interests.respond to as many discussions as possible as there are alot of people who give first prference to those who respond to their discussions.try to create discussions which are more general in nature.
