Do you confront them or you simply avoid them?

It would depend on what the rumor is about. If it was about me having bad breath or something ridiculous like that then I wouldn't bother and just turn the other cheek. However, if it was more serious and could have an impact on my work, or relationship, then I would put a stop to it. I would approach the person/s who were spreading the rumors and confront them, and try to sort it out.

Oh if someone gossips about me it all depends on what they are saying but if it is bad then I would confront them or take them to court for defimation.

hi,first i assess the negative effect either it is limited to only close friends or it is broad. If it is limited to close friends ,i take help in condemn the gossips. If it is spread broader, simply avoid. If we do some thing, the gossip effect will become much more.

Mine will be a passive confrontation. I will not go to the extent of telling people these are lies but if someone approaches me and ask if what they are hearing is true then I will say no with a smile. I will not let this thing eat me nor control my life. There is more to life than stooping down to other people's level. If given an opportunity, I will befriend that someone.

I simply smile , meaning Im becoming important to that person, why does she or he needs to bother me with no nonsense. So just the same , Ill still be happy as I am. The truth is always greater than lies.
