my fiance is depressed and doesnt want to be in the navy. in 2005 a pipe burst and hit is leg where is is scarred for life. he doesnt like being on the ship or sailing and this is making him depressed and he is crying all the time. does anyone know if there is any way he can get off that ship or become land based?

he needs to talk to his captain or a priest on the ship.but i myself would have him put in for a transfer.but than again he has to go by the rules to do this.my frist husband was in the navy,an he got lonely an wanted out..so i move with him to his base in san deigo an he didnt wantto go overseas an he try to get out an nothing worked for him he was stuck.i think his best bet is to talk to a priest.they can get him out quicker than anything or talk to a shrink.i wish him luck on getting out an wish him the best.

He needs to see the chaplain on the ship and discuss the issue, and he should talk to the officer in charge of him to see if they might be able to transfer him. I don't think that the navy likes to transfer personel that easily though, so he shouldn't expect to be transferred immediately if at all. By my experience, the military does what is best for the military before they do what is best for the ones serving in the military.
