Whilst most of my letters and writings are carried out on the word processor, I must confess I really, really like proper writing paper. I am really girly in my taste, I like thick, creamy or lilac paper, sometimes embossed with a single rose and sometimes with a little side pattern of violets and roses.
Naturally there are matching envelopes :-)
I should like to use a fountain pen but I have writing that is not terribly neat, so a biro looks much nicer.
I don't collect paper as such, but I have notepaper commemorating the anniversary of a local college, and I have post cards which I bought when I was a child but could not bear to send as they were too pretty!

Oh yes! I do really enjoy collecting the nicer post cards. I also have some cards sent in the 1880's between my Grandfather who was in the Navy and his sister, and they are the lace trimmed real mccoy!
What are the nicest cards you have?

You've reminded me of something I tend to do. Collect TABLETS or JOURNALS! I love monkeys so I got all these "Yo Girl!" monkey ones from Wal*Mart. I got them ALL I think! I have like over 10 of them and NOT all are filled up. I constantly TRY to fill them up. I keep telling myself NO more tablets till you use the others up. I LOVE Lisa Frank ones and I have like all these little ones, I got all 12 $1.00 each. I got these other kind a bit bigger also Lisa Frank. I collected I think there were 12 of that too. They cost like $2.00 each. I DONT even use them all! I have pens too TONS AND TONS! I try to use them but sometimes its like huh? We just moved so I only recently found ALL my pens. And now I'm overwhelmed with all my stuff to write on. So now I gotta slow down and stop trying to buy tablets OR pens. I thought I was the only pen and tablet collector out there. I feel better thank you!
I actually prefer computer to pen and paper but do use those as well :))I blog online but keep a real diary too. Its all good!

even in the presence of modern technology, like chatting and emailing, i still put my brain, hand and pen to work. i write letters to my boyfriend who lives in another country and he writes letters for me, too. i find handwritten mails more personal and touching than just emails.
i always have a pen and a paper on my desk. these are essential for me.

I collect notebooks, too. Although I very rarely write in them, because I very rarely handwrite due to Cerebral Palsy, my disability. I tend to choose notebooks based on liking the covers and such; I also tend to pick up a notebook if I'm on vacation to remember my trip.
