Suggest some ultimate ways to popularize an event through internet.....!!!!!

Hi everybody. I, ashish arora, am organizing an event named 'Symposium' in my institute's (IIT Roorkee) techfest which is to be held in march 2007. At present I am tring to pubicize the event as much as possible. So all guys n gals present here at mylot...vl u people pls. suggest some ways to publicize the event through internet. If u r interestd in the details of the event, visit the following link: www.iitr.ernet.in/cognizance/Symposium.html I am already trin some methods like.... send mail to lots of people.. send sms to them through internet, of course... send mail to yahoo group owners, who vl futher forward the mail to their respective groups... to pulicize the event through orkut type websites.... what are ur suggestions????
