is singing a inborn quality?

hmmm.. i think that a really amazing voice is god given and cannot really be developed naturally.. but i know of many people who's voice gets better with time and becomes more cultured asthey practise more and more.. i learnt carnatic music which helped me improve my voice a lot.. its done wonders for me..

when i was younger, i don't have a good voice. but after college, i discovered that i can sing. not that good yet that time. but with much practice and self confidence, i can now sing. i even sing in special occassions and when i get invitations to sing.
