Auli, a small mountain resort near Joshimath, in Himachal Pradesh, India. Surrounded by the himalayan range, in Uttaranchal, it is place of serenity and tranquility. It's also a ski resort during winter. I would love to share my experiences, should anybody be interested.

Thanks for responding to this discussion. I'm sure you must have liked the place. I still don't understand why people opt to go to foreign countries, when the beauty of nature can be had in India only. What say you?

nice to hear frm u . dear mousumi let me tell u dat in india majority of the people are inclined towards visiting foreign shores . they completely ignore the natural heritage of india . i've seen people frm europe , israel , usa coming to spend their vacations in the himalayas . they value the indian himalayas as the greatest in the world .however its a pity that we indians do not give it any importance . this is due to lack of awareness among people . on the other side this is a blessing in disguise . its gud that only serious people visit the mountains otherwise if masses start coming the natural beauty wud completely be tarnished

You are very right. But still, will not it be better, if our countrymen, start liking their country first, know their country first, love the nature and understand how to preserve them. They would not dare to dirty or litter their surroundings as easily as they will do it here.
