Can you love someone forever?

When my Mom died after 25 years of marriage my Dad got into another relationship in under 6 months. I want him to be happy and I would like to see him remarry but isn't 6 months too soon? What do you think?

i'm sure you arnt comfortable with your dad getting into a relationship now..but then you have to understand that he needs someone to talk to..someone who can take him away from his misery!!that's exactly what's happening.. i bet there are things he can talk to you about but then in life you always need a special companion!!that's all he's looking for..give him time and support each other..dont loose him by condemning his realtionship..he needs your supprot right now!!

I really think that after 25 years of marriage 6month is pretty fast. Maybe your dad just can't be alone. There is some people like that. Maybe he need someone to comfort him. Of course after only 6 month I don,t think he will love her like he did for yourmother. And maybe it will not work out because it,s to soon.

Yes I can love someone forever but from what you say I am really sorry to say that he could surely have waited for some more time. Looks like he just wanted to get married as soon as possible.
