Yeah, I'm sad Brett's gone too. Loved his voice.

I'll admit, I love Fuel...And I'll likely buy the new CD when it comes out and listen to it, but I admit my expectations, with a new singer and all, are kind of low. I'm sure it'll be good and will grow on me, but Brett's voice was such a signature of the band's sound; the new guy's going to have to be REALLY good if they're going to be able to pull it off. The real test will be the tour; you know the fans will want to hear the old material, so let's hope the new singer can do it justice.
In reading on the band's site, I was never able to find anything as to why Brett left the band; it all seemed pretty vague.

Yeah, I'm sure Carl knows we're all going to want to hear Shimmer and Bittersweet and Hemorrhage, and if the new singer can't pull those off, it wont matter how good the new material is. Like I said, I know the songs will be good, because Carl's a great writer.

it's difficult for me, cuz i loved fuel cuz of brett's voice. however, i heard one of their tracks with the new guy, and it's not too bad. i will still support them, and really, on that track, it was still fuel, they sound like fuel, just no brett. but this guy is a lil raspy-voiced as well. think it'll be ok. sometimes change is good. i wish the best for brett, and bravo to fuel for continuing on! they rock!
