Ok, Who loves BREAD? Do you sprout your own grain?

I love bread, I bake my own, but I buy organic flour. I have been reading about sprouting your grains, and milling it yourself. WOW, anybody out there doing this? Is it really worth the investment and effort?

Yes, nutrition is really important to me so I buy red winter wheat and other grains to mill and/or sprout and it is well worth the time, but it does take a LOT of time! I love adding sprouted wheat to baked goods. I used to sprout wheat to make wheat grass to drink, but now it is possible to buy delicious and affordable ready-made beverages like Green Machine so I don't sprout as much wheat as before, but I do still sprout sunflower seeds, fennugreek, and a few other seeds, as well as soaking nuts. Did you ever try soaking raw almonds overnight to rinse and eat in the morning...so nutritious and yummy, too. If I ever make cornbread or muffins or waffles or anything like that from a commercial mix, I always throw in a handful of freshly milled whole grains and/or seeds, especially flax seed. Flax seed is amazing because to me at least it smells horrible when you grind it, but always turns out delicious in baked goods.
