I had a friend in high school who wrote to me once and said those words. I didn't know what I felt - it was strange. And I stopped responding to his letters afterwards.

Definitely I would respond I Love You Too, because your my bestfriend. But if he say it in a diffrent way I'll ask why. If I feel the same way -oh my! thank God, at last the moment i've been waiting for has arrived. hehehehe!

everyone has rights to say how he/she feels freely. i am not sure how to react in this situation since i haven't gone through it yet. but i think i'd be shock and flattered at the same time.

Its very common because your friend knows you quite well so its only natural to have these feelings for you. So now you just have to deciede if you should take it a step further. Only you know the answer to this. Cheers

well i would take that as a compliment in a way, even if it was a girl or a boy, but i wouldn't get freaked out or anything because love can mean so many things it just doesn't mean being in a relationship if somebody loves you! :)

Well I think that if it's your best friend, there's nothing wrong with saying I love you. If you've been best friends for quite awhile and you're just best friends it should be said. It all depends on the situation. I mean if you've been friends for years and out of no where they say I love you and you act shocked than somethings up and communication got lost somewhere or they love you in a not friendship way.
