I have annoying neighbors

Just putting up with what you have been putting is enough for anyone. Maybe you should tell them that you don't want to provide them food and drive them around. The saying goes that people treat you the way you let them treat you. So maybe you should get a little tough and they wouldn't take advantage of you. Good luck.

Wow, whatever happened to just borrowing a cup of sugar? Smokes are expensive, I'd tell them I quit and don't have any!

These annoying neighbors are also with us until now. Start shooing them away by saying no. If someone comes in to borrow, just simply say, I'm sorry I haven't got new ones. I've decided to stop acquiring new ones because I'm cutting on expenses. If they insist, show them all the old ones you've got. Always make it a point to keep the new ones away where ethically, they cannot go, like the bedroom. As for the pepsi and whatever else, say I'm sorry I hardly buy such anymore because I'm cutting down our expenses. We are experiencing some financial difficulties now. Don't be very accommodating. You'll notice that slowly, these neighbors will not be as disturbing anymore.

I have only one method which I used all the time if I don't want anyone knocking on my door unnecessarily. I just simply shut the door, closed all the windows, lower down the volume of the radio or hi-fi and when someone knocked on my door, I just simply keep quiet and ignored. Please remember to set your mobile phone on either silent or vibrate mode, if not, there's no fun in pretending at all. Later, when your neighbour asks where were you, just calmly replied that you were home all along, but you simply "passed out" or "fainted", so you didn't hear him/her knock.

my neighbor & I are the same it ussualy work that way but I found when I gave I got in return, so I say it never hurts to help someone in need,if I have it to give.
