Do you like getting roses for Valentine's or not? Or prefer to get something

else? If something else, what and why? Roses are really nice to get, I will be happy with just roses, it's the thought that counts.

my boyfriend gave me a boquet of roses last last valentine's day... my first reaction? "how much did you spend for it? it's so expensive, why would you spend such amount on those flowers"... i don't see any practicality in giving roses, i don't have much use for it except for display plus they die after s few days... i'd rather spend the money in an outing or a dinner...

I always find roses as a sweet gift to receive on Valentine's day but chocolates and other gifts are welcome too. :D

That is true, it's the thought that counts. I think roses are pretty and would be happy if my husband just got me that for valentine's, he has before, but if he gave me a choice I don't think I'd pick the roses. For me I would love just to get a nice dinner or nice night out somewhere just for me and him to have some time alone.
