I'm from the UK and got paid through Paypal. The exchange rate used was $2.03 to £1. So $20 would be just udner £10. Which is shocking! But I guess we must all get used to the weak dollar, it's here to stay. It's a pity MyLot don't pay in euros or sterling.

Charlie69, the cost was in the exchange rate. The official exchange rate on the forex markets was $1.97 to £1, and Paypal charged $2.03 to £1. It's the same principle as tourist rates being different to the official ones on the forex markets.

The way i see it is anythings better than nothing as Mylot is about more than the earnings. Did it cost you anything to transfer the money?

the gbp is said to be close to around half the amount of the dollar so it would be somthing close to £11 for a $20 payment and i dont think that paypal take off any interest only when you put money from your paypal into your bank account it charges a small amout to transfer under £49.99 into your bank.

Megan at the moment every $2 = £1 in our money excatly. =) So twenty dollars will = ten pounds for us britush folks. I sounded old there.. opps =) Although these rates may change as the dollar appears to be slipping quite badly in recent times. I use this below from time to time because of this. http://coinmill.com/GBP_USD.html# Hope it's useful to you. Kudos! ~Joey

If you earned $20, then that is the amount that will be lodged to your PayPal account. When you go to convert it to sterling or to withdraw it to your bank account, PayPal will charge a small amount for lodging it to your bank, and they also use their own rate of exchange.

Was wondering that myself! Have you had any payments yet? Think when I actually get a payment I'll just store it up and use on ebay or something.
