I do! I love to cook on Saturday and Sundays. I turn the remainder of the meals into leftovers. Makes for an easier time during the week. Example make a 5lb meatloaf on Sunday. Have Sunday night, Have meatloaf sandwiches for work, have Meatloaf with gravy on Wednesday, Have Meatloaf zapped and serve with BBQ sauce. Get 4 extra meals from 1 main dish. Example 2: Pot Roast on Sunday.
Hot beef Sandwiches with Gravy on Monday, Cube the remainder and crockpot turning into stew.
You get the idea. Makes your food budget stretch a little further. Something we all to do!

Yes, it does only take 5-10 minutes to cook them is you are merely grilling them or frying. What about variety, how do you prepare your food to have it all done in 15 minutes?

We usually cook one weekend say. When we go out to eat we always make sure to eat lunch, an early dinner or a late dinner. Most people here eat out at least on the weekends and for lunch every day.

Until my grandmother passed away 4 or so years ago, there was never a family meal day. Pre-Katrina my mom had one at her house every Sunday. Now that things are so hectic that has fallen by the way side. In our side people fend for themsleves for breakfast, my fiance and I eat lunch togther and them someone usually cooks for dinner, but that gets old. We do eat out once a week for lunch as a "treat" to ourselves and we enjoy eating out for dinner although we don't do it near as much as we use to. We have the money, may as well enjoy it!

Well my dad's side is not as close as my mom's side. Whenever I go home.. I eat with my grandparents every saturday. Because is like a Family tradition to get together and eat. During the week I eat with my parents almost everyday... Pre-Katrina.. I'm guessing you are from the south.. I used to study in NOLA but I had to transfer...! :(

On weekends, holidays and in the beginning of the month, there is always rush at restaurants. They can increase the number of waiters, but they cannot double the plant and machinery to produce more probably because of paucity of space and investment factor. Hence they keep people in waiting list.

That is so true. Well, I do whenever I have a kitchen around.... I'm a student living at the school's hotel... But I have a bunch of friends who do not mind me using their kitchen so I cook quite frequently. I make almost everything from scratch... even if im baking a cake or brownies I make it from stratch

I understand what you mean, I live in a tourist area-Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and the weekends are horrible to go out to eat. The wait can get up to 2 hour, at that point its like NEVER MIND!!! So, I cook on the weekends and we go out to eat on Tuesdays, because that seems to be the slowest day for tourist to in our town.

I cook on the weekend most of the time sometimes we go out to eat. Well Saturday night we ordered armenian food it was so good, Sunday night I grilled flank steak, made sticky rice and aspragus, tonight I made fried pork shops, red potatoes and a salad. It was also very good. Now that I have a daughter my husband and I tend to stay home and I cook.
