New Cell Phone Law for Bicyclists

The New Jersey Legislature is considering a bill that would make it illegal to drive a bicycle and talk on a cell phone at the same time.
While I believe it isn't the smartest thing a person can do, is another NEW LAW really needed?
It seems like it is a new law for something every day.

I agree with you that riding a bike and talking on the phone at the same time is not wise, but really shouldn't be illegal. I am personally far more concerned with people driving cars and chit chatting on a cell phone. I have nearly been mowed down twice by people on a residential street whilst walking my dogs by people who were obviously paying more attention to their phone call than driving.
