Here as of recent i have seen alot of discussion over not accepting friends, becuase they dont respond to you discussions and what not..and i started thinking about my friend list and if i respond often to their discussions. I realized they dont, but i am also a guilty party as well (i respond to friends but not them all) Our mylot profile is nicely set up..it has the discussions you start right smack dab in the center and your entire friends list on the right hand side. so here is what im gonna do and propose you should all do to make for better discussion habits on mylot. When you sign on to mylot go directly to your profile..dont go to the todays hot topics and so forth..make your friends a priority and go from profile to profile and respond to some of their works. If they have no been on for a long time or active in your discussions..then delete them.. Also by using your profile as a "control center" you can see if new responses come up on any of your discussions. Hope this discussion gets around and people start doing this.

That's one way of doing it. I do it a bit differently, but with the same result. I just have all my friends set to notify me when they post a new topic. That way when anyone posts I get the topic in my email. I get a TON of email this way, but it's fun to go through and read what each person has to say! Then I simply reply to all the topics started that I have any interest in. In fact, that's how I found this discussion!

Yea i get emails too, but i do alot of multi tasking on my computer and i am also on crappy dial up :) so i like to keep little stuff up and running. Figured offer the fine people of mylot a more efficient way to be more active in friend discussions..and myself:)

Yeah, I could see how it would be a pain if you're on dial up.

You have a good idea here. I seem to usually just go to the day's discussion, because as you said, it is easier to get to. The path of least resistance! Oh well!

well as for me I do not always go to my friends profiles, and do it this way as it takes much too long to do it this way I mean if my friends are putting out discussions I know they will come to my inbox but if they are not sending out discussions and not responding to mine then I will delete them as I cannot see any use in having them as friends if they are not going to work together.
