Cricket is after all a sport. One does not win, just because team plays well, but also - if the opponent plays poorly. Likewise, we just do not lose because - we play badly, but also if opponent plays better. So - we must take the cricket as sport. But I have more important question - who was responsible for ouster of VVS and Kumble in ODI. They were out of favours, when Ganguly was the captain. and at that time, semi skilled players like Mongia and Kaif were preferred over VVS; and so was Bhajji over Kumble. So why two standards to look at Ganguly's ouster and VVS/Kumble's ouster from the team. I am fine with Ganguly playing for India, as long as he is playing well and afterall India must do well. But can not forget that it was Ganguly, who used his power and politics to make the pond dirty, so he and his supporters must not complain, if they are also thrown in that dirty pond. Who knows - if politics is governed from the top - Pawar vs Dalmiya. May be Greg is being used as well for settling personal scores. But at some stage of life, things need to take a complete circle. and when it does - it does give time for introspection and correction. Afterall, time is the biggest healer. if u ask to predict the indian squad then it is going to be a difficult task as some of the players are injured and they will be able to recover or not it will depend. but i can guess it . sachin tendulkar, rahul dravid, saurav ganguly, m.s. dhoni, yuvraj singh, mohammad kaif, dinesh kartik, ajit agarkar, zaheer khan, anil kumble, harbhajan singh, irfan pathan, sreesanth, virender sehwag etc. i m forgetting some names. but i think that the players might be selected from these.
