Oh my dear! Try drinking more water... I like hot showers sort of like that heater...aloe vera will help your skin. Try to move away a bit from that heater. Get warmth from blankets and not that heater. The humidity in your house will also be a factor. If low it will also be hard on the furniture. Try to raise the humidity in your home.

If you like to keep the heat up try buying a humidifier for your home. I live in a small apartment, so I only really need one for the bedroom. After a few days you will notice a difference in the humidity of your home or the room where you spend most of your time. In the winter it can be especially difficult dealing with dry skin because the air outside also has no humidity in it. When there is no moisture in ther eair our skin can not absorb it and we are left with dry skin.

I get this same thing every winter and I keep my central heat down to 65 degrees F. I have always used baby oil while I am still wet from the shower. The water and the oil will soak into the skin and make it feel like silk. I have found just this year something that really works well for your hands. A very tiny dab of shortening/lard, about the size of a dime, will keep your hands from getting dry. I do not know if it will work all over your body but I am sure it will.

Make sure you are drinking plenty of water, and eating healthy oils, like olive oil and nuts. Use something to seal in moisture right after your bath or shower, and make sure it is not too hot, as that will dry you further. Pat dry, leave slightly damp. Use a rich emolient creme. Even vaseline. Lard or vegetable shortening are both good as they are unfragranced. Fragrance will dry you as well. Moisturize then put on socks and pjs to encourage the moisturizer to penetrate.

Dry skin can be a problem during winter. Creams can help but may not be for long hours. What I would suggest is that you should add a few drops of coconut oil to the last few mugs of water you use for bath. The oil will stay over your skin preventing dryness.

I always use a moisturizer from the time i wake up, after a morning bath and before I sleep. That is my routine to help my skin to make it smooth and healthy, but you should be in a trial basis, which you think its comfortable with your skin type.

put flowers in water or just dishes with water in them in the room this will stop the air from being so dry and in turn will help your skin , and if possible keep away from the heat when sleeping as this will take away all of your energy xx

I normally apply coconut oil in the morning and take bath. I do not apply soap. Sometimes the the brand soap you use may cause the skin to dry. Skin needs treatment and nourishment. Try the coconut oil particularly on holidays you apply to all parts of the body, lightly and then take a bath, do not apply soap.

Put some water bowls around your house for mositure in the air. I just started to do that and it does help. And put lots of cream all over your body before you go to bed and then you will slip right out of your bed.heheheheh

i don't know if you're familiar with petroleum jelly, but it's great for the skin. i use it every night, it's warm and a little bit sticky but it really makes your skin so soft.

i think that u should less in heat. and the second method is that u apply moituriser again during the night to keep ur skin more supple and soft. as u cannot avoid sitting near heat so it is a good idea to apply this when u sit near heat source. at least this will keep ur skin soft.

Try to drink a lot of water and keep some distance away from the heater. If you still feel the cold like I do, try wear some more clothes on yourself. Also put some lotion on once in the morning and at evening. This should help a little. Also try to eat alot of fruit.

I have dry skin too. Here are some thoughts. Definitely drink more water. Try to turn the heat down a bit and use more blankets if you are cold. I use Eucerin Calming Lotion after I shower. It is the best lotion ever! The doctor told me you have less than a minute to get the lotion on once you get out of the shower for it to be most effective. And do not dry off completely. Let the water soak in the cream. Also, you should not take hot or really warm showers as this dries your skin. And perfumed soap is bad too, although I use this. Good luck!

Steam spa is the best. You can make it at home at no cost. All you need is small bowl, hot water and towel. Make sure to keep you face not to close to steem. It works.
