Well I write alot of articles about North Carolina vacations. My favorite is Ashville NC and the area. You have all kinds of things to do there. Lots of art (not my cup of tea) you have the Biltmore House, lots of other stuff. My favorite thing to do is get on the Blue Ridge Parkway and take in the sites. Though during this time of year some parts of it may be closed due to snow.

Well I've always liked the historic bathabra area and also Old Salem. Both are located around Winston-Salem and both areas are so beautiful. And I know Bathabra Park doesn't get that much visitors so it might be worth checking out if you wanted to take a trip to. You could come during the spring and while here there are local race tracks, minor league baseball and plenty of other fun things to do.

I will be vacationing in North Carolina next week as I am going to Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. I have only visited Fayetteville, North Carolina previously. It was pretty nice there though I did not stay long to see much. Raleigh, North Carolina is supposed to be very nice.

I think it depends on what you're looking for. Raleigh has just been named one of the best places in the US to move right now. Good jobs, a nice place to live and many activities to do (museums, etc.). Raleigh has also just been named one of the best places in the US to find a mate. If you're looking for a family vacation, you might want to look to the outdoors. There are several national parks, fruit/vegetable picking and of the course the beach and mountains. Right now there's an Egyptian exhibit at the museum that sounds awesome. If you're looking for outdoorsy stuff, this is a good state to go to. If you want excitement and major league sports, you're looking in the wrong direction.
