All one can really say is that things don't always go the way we want them to go. You should know that there is someone better out there for you. Maybe you weren't meant to be with that person, but were supposed to bring those two together. But they are still important to you, or they would not have come into your life in the first place. We have no idea how things are going to go, we can only be sure that whatever happens is indeed in our best interest, even if we don't think so at the time.
