Love marriage? As a opposed to an arranged marriage? I think that love marriages are obviously the better choice of the two. Lets look at it though. In places where marriages are free, not arranged, those are countries with very accepting thoughts on divorce, its easier to get one. In places with arranged marriages, since there is no choice in marriage anyhow, it is harder to get a divorce, so that might feul your myth.

I believe it happens. Because in a love marriage, each partner tends to sacrifice one's own identity to prove to other partner how much she/he loves the other. In the process, partners pretends and suppressed one's own identity. Literary, marriage is a combination of two person agreed to be combined. Though combined, each still has his/her own self, own likes and dislikes, dreams and ambitions. True expression of ones self is hindered, unless otherwise both will be open and willing to accept each other's differences.
