do u think there should be a diablo movie?

i think they should follow the video games, moviewriters just aren't as good as video game writers and that's why most games turned movies get spoiled.

i've never seen a movie completely follow the same story line of a game yet. Besides, if we loved a story line in a game, who's to say that people who've never played the game won't love the story either, if it's a good storyline, like prince of persia, now that's a franchise which you cannot take and make it into a completely different story, like tomb raider. Cuz there can be different aspects to that one. My point is if we loved it in the game, then we'll love it in the movie, and people who've never played the game would love it too, because it's simply a 'great' story.

The problem is that the gamers don't tend to want original stories, and if the stories follow the game too much, it turns off non-gamers. Look at the resident evil movies. Non RE players, like myself, tend to love the RE movies, but RE players hate them. So, scriptwriters, of either medium, risk alienating half of their audience just by writing a script. It's a fine line, and no one's tread it safely yet.

I'm all for this. Diablo has a very superb storyline and if a movie of it was ever made, I would definitely come and watch it...as long as Hollywood doesn't butcher the story like they did in Doom. That was a massacre. Anyway Any Blizzard game should be made into a movie. The stories are just so intriguing and so good and the fan base is so high that its definitely profitable to do so provided they stick with the original stories.

yeah, as long as they don't 'butcher' it, good choice of words, i did see 'doom' although i've never played the game, it was an okay movie, i'm sure people who've played the game have more authority to speak on that. As for me, i enjoyed watching Dwayne 'the rock' johnson in it, so it was alright for me.

You got that right, they should make it like a trilogy or something or more parts, even. Cuz one movie definitely wont' cover it all. Plus it's more interesting, like in 'matrix' or 'lord of the rings', you're left wanting more at the end of each, cuz you know another one is gonna come out soon.

ya, cuz diablo means devil in spanish, but i don't think there has been a diablo game movie yet.
