I have a cold. It's not too bad but my sinues hurt so bad and it's giving me a headache and when i sneeze it takes all my energy. I was just wondering what home remedies I can take. I am taking Tylenol Sinus and drinking green tea and soup. Is there anything else??

Hot liquids including tea and soup, garlic, and black pepper are good. The liquids open your sinus pathways, and the spices have antibiotic properties. Try to avoid dairy products in all forms. They tend to cause stuffiness and congestion. Feel better soon, and don't forget to run around spraying Lysol on your doorknobs and telephone recievers!

Those are good things to take for sinus infections. If those do not help then you may want to see your doctor as you may need an antibiotic to cure you. Sometimes it gets to a point where you need something stronger than the over the counter medications. I would stay away from orange juice as I have heard from friends that it makes your sinuses worse or irritates it more.

I always take echnecia (i probably spelled that wrong), when i am getting a cold - it seems to lessen the cold, and about 1000 mg of vitamin c. I use Emergen-C and that has other good stuff in it. I always have a sinus headache but I have allergies. Good luck. Everyone is sick.
