Do ya think Anyone can groan like angela gossow?????

Closest I've found so far is Alissa White-Gluz of The Agonist.

I dont know the name of the singer, but the girl in the black metal band Astarte can scream like know one knows. Hell, like a black metal man. I find bands like Arch Enemy and Otep (and Flyleaf) to be kind of overrated just cause their is a woman screaming, but their screaming is mediocre. Astarte is really great and you should check them out! For those who care, Shagrath from Dimmu Borgir is also in a few of their songs which is just awsome.

It is hard to come close to some of those groans, but Otep makes some pretty heavy sounds. However, with Otep you know it is a chick. Angela sometimes sounds a lot like a guy and it is hard to tell for the untrained ear.

I love Angela. She's a great role model for other female metal-heads lol. She's also really down to earth, she's a vegetarian and does yoga :-) Arch Enemy are also fantastic live in concert, if you get the chance, go see them.

You'd think with her hoarse voice she'd be really ugly but she aint that bad looking hahaha.
